Today, Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral Dr. Péter Polt met in his offi­ce Peter Frank, Fede­ral Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Ger­many. During their mee­ting held wit­hin the fra­me­work of their close wor­king rela­ti­onship, the Pro­se­cu­tors Gene­ral gave an over­view of the anti-corruption acti­vi­ti­es of the two count­ri­es’ pro­se­cu­ti­on ser­vi­ces. Dr. Péter Polt expla­ined the noti­on of the so called “substi­tu­te pri­vate pro­se­cu­ti­on”. The Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Hun­gary and the Fede­ral Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Ger­many also exc­hang­ed their views on their prac­ti­cal expe­ri­en­ces regard­ing ter­ror­ism. 

During the mee­ting, which was cons­idered fru­it­ful by both par­ti­es, Dr. Péter Polt and Peter Frank gave an over­view on the anti-corruption acti­vi­ti­es of their respec­tive pro­se­cu­ti­on ser­vi­ces. In this con­text, they both high­ligh­ted the role of inter­na­ti­o­nal coope­ra­ti­on.

At the mee­ting, the Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Hun­gary sum­ma­ri­sed the tasks impo­s­ed on the Pro­se­cu­ti­on Ser­vi­ce of Hun­gary by the leg­i­sla­tor thro­ugh the new legal ins­ti­tu­ti­on, the so-called "substi­tu­te pri­vate pro­se­cu­ti­on", int­ro­du­ced by the amend­ment of the Cri­mi­nal Pro­ce­du­re Code.

The Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Ger­many and the Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Hun­gary also exc­hang­ed opin­ions on prac­ti­cal expe­ri­en­ces in con­nec­ti­on with ter­ror­ism.

The parti­es conc­lu­ded that the rela­ti­onship bet­ween the pro­se­cu­to­ri­al orga­ni­za­tions of the two count­ri­es is close and excel­lent, there are regu­larly held high-level and expert mee­tings and the legal assis­tance rela­ti­onship is con­ti­nu­o­us. Prose­cu­tors of the two count­ri­es coope­ra­te in seve­ral joint investiga­ti­on teams (JIT).
