After the ope­ning cere­mony in the Par­lia­ment, the two-day-long Nadal con­fe­ren­ce con­ti­nu­ed in the newly reno­va­ted buil­ding of the Hun­ga­ri­an Aca­demy of Sci­en­ces with the pro­fes­si­o­nal exc­han­ge bet­ween the par­ti­ci­pants. 

During the after­no­on, Pro­se­cu­tors Gene­ral held dis­cus­sions on the chal­len­ges of online crime, ins­pi­red by pre­s­en­ta­tions from, among others, Dr. Péter Polt, Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Hun­gary, and And­rés Rit­ter, Deputy Chief Pro­se­cu­tor of the Euro­pe­an Pub­lic Prosecutor’s Offi­ce. The oppor­tuni­ti­es and dif­fi­cul­ti­es int­ro­du­ced by dig­ital tools in the jus­ti­ce sys­tem for­med the next topic. The Pro­se­cu­tors Gene­ral of Fin­land, Aust­ria, and Esto­nia, along with the Sec­re­tary Gene­ral of the EJTN, high­ligh­ted spe­ci­fic areas of inte­rest, fos­te­ring dia­lo­gue and exc­han­ge of views.

On the clo­sing day of the NADAL con­fe­ren­ce, the Pro­se­cu­tors Gene­ral were int­ro­du­ced to the provi­sions of the new EU direc­tive on envi­ron­men­tal crime and to Eurojust's expe­ri­en­ces in envi­ron­men­tal crime cases. Pre­s­en­ta­tions were deli­ve­red by Péter Cson­ka, Deputy Direc­tor at the Euro­pe­an Com­mis­si­on, and José De La Mata, Vice Pres­ident of Euro­just and Nati­o­nal Mem­ber for Spain.

The succ­ess­ful con­fe­ren­ce was conc­lu­ded by Dr. Péter Polt, Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Hun­gary, who exp­res­sed his gra­ti­tu­de for the deca­de of sha­red work and han­ded over the pres­idency to the Pro­se­cu­tor Gene­ral of Bel­gi­um.
